Episode #51:
Time Crisis!
Cody vs. Primal Dialga!

Temporal Tower was the pinnacle of time. This was the one area where Dialga resided, and where Time was purely affected within the Pokemon World. Without it, nothing would move, and the paralysis would come; just as they saw in the future. Outside, Team Hunters looked up at the mighty tower, waiting to enter.

“This is it,” Cody said. “Its now…or never.”

“You know,” Turtwig said. “I’m getting a little nervous about this.”

“It’s too late for that, Turtwig. We have to move on. Even if it is a little…frightening.”

They looked up to see a swirling vortex above, mostly in the shape of a red cloud. Red bolts were shooting from the sky down onto the roof. This was not natural at all. The tower was getting worse, and some of it actually came off. And, just like that, one part of the tower fell off and crashed near them, causing them to cower in fear of it. They all looked up to see the tower getting worse by the second.

“It’s collapsing all right,” Cyndaquil said.

“This is insane!” Turtwig said. “I had no idea that it’s this bad. Most of the tower’s not even there!”

They soon heard a powerful roar up above. It was the same one that they heard before: Dialga’s. Their nervous streak only got worse after that. Cody shook his head and formed a straight face.

“We can’t run away!” Cody said. “We’re heroes, through and through!”

“RIGHT!” Turtwig and Cyndaquil said, mustering up the same courage he has.

“Let’s move!”

They went inside only to see a small platform with a small button on the end with no power. It seemed to power something, like an elevator. Cody pressed the button, but nothing seemed to work.

“We need electricity,” Turtwig said, “but we’re short one Electric Pokemon.”

“Yeah, it does seem…odd,” Cody replied. “Now what do we do?”

“We can climb,” Cyndaquil suggested.

“Where?”

None of them knew of an area outside of the tower where they can climb. Suddenly, an odd surge came from above, in the form a mysterious orange light. It flowed through the lines on the end and connected to the button. It began to glow a bright orange, leaving the rest of them confused as to what just happened.

“That’s convenient,” Turtwig said.

“We need to thank whoever did that,” Cyndaquil said. “It’s only fair.”

Cody nodded as he pressed the button. The ground shook a little as the circular platform went up slowly. They wondered what would happen when they got up there.

“Call it a hunch,” Cody said, “but I think Primal Dialga saved us.”

“Wait, Primal DIALGA saved us?” Turtwig asked.

“Isn’t he the bad guy?” Cyndaquil asked.

“It seems odd, but the orange lines make it seem like he caused the platforms to move. I can’t explain it, but something’s definitely up.”

They all wondered the same thing. If Cody was right, then Dialga wasn’t completely possessed yet like he was in the future. Perhaps he was still himself, only trying to break free from his Primal form.

“Cody,” Turtwig began. “If we DO have to face him, are you sure that necklace will save us?”

“I’m not sure,” he replied. “My dad said that this necklace’s power might not surpass his strength. He doesn’t think I’ll be strong enough on my own, even with this. I just have to keep my head up and hope for the best.”

They seemed like it was taking forever to get to the top, but they all wondered if they were ready for it. They finally arrived at the top, filled with pillars and cracked stone floors as they saw a large, navy blue wall with a mysterious pattern on it. It had five slots, all resembling the shapes of Time Gears. They knew it, they found it.

“This is it,” Cody said. “Dialga doesn't seem to be anywhere in sight.”

“So what was that light?” Turtwig asked.

Cody didn't know what to think anymore. He went off to place the Time Gears in their respective slots. Cody wondered if he would have to even fight Dialga at all. He took out one Time Gear as he placed it within the slots one at a time. He kept going until he got the fourth one in. He smiled, knowing that he had finally succeed.

“Finally,” Cody said. “We won!”

He prepared to take out the remaining Time Gear, but a loud roar stopped him, followed by a shadow above that caused Cody to look up and see someone preparing to strike him from above. Cody made a mad dash to get out of the way. He looked up to see none other than Primal Dialga himself. Orange outline and darker skin and everything!

“It's him!” Cody said in fear. “Primal Dialga!”

“What do you think you're doing?” Dialga asked in anger.

“Cody, what do we do?” Cyndaquil asked.

They knew they could handle him, but none of them could move a muscle at all. They were frozen in place, frightened by his presence!

“I...I don't know what to do!” Cody replied.

“Well?” Primal Dialga asked once more

Cody gulped nervously in response to him. He noticed that he didn't seem to be exerting as much power as he did in the future. It was making him wonder if he just transformed into that mode.

“I'm here to stop your actions, Primal Dialga!” Cody said.

“Stop MY actions?!” he asked in anger. “YOU DARE DEFY MY POWER?!?!?!?!”

They began to cower in fear. Suddenly, Dialga unleashed a powerful burst of energy, forcing all of them to fly back. They slowly got up as they became amazed at his powerful force.

“He's...so strong,” Cody said.

“You will all pay for your crimes!!!”

He suddenly felt a strong surge coming from his brain as he moved around in pain. He fell to the ground, leaving the team to wonder what happened. His eyes seemed to be a normal white and blue as he noticed Cody and the others there.

“What the...” Dialga asked. “YOU THERE!!!”

His voice is,” Cody thought, “different.

“I have no time to waste, so I'll cut this short. You must place the Time Gear within the remaining slot. Please, you must hurry! I cannot hold him much longer!”

He felt pain again, leaving Cody to rush for it. He pulled out the remaining Time Gear, but Dialga lost control as Primal Dialga took over. He looked back and forced time to slow down as Primal Dialga opened his mouth. He formed a beam into his mouth and fired it at Cody, striking him hard and forcing him to drop the Time Gear onto the ground. Cody fell to the ground as well, just as time reverted to normal.

“What was that?” Cyndaquil asked.

“Roar of Time!” Turtwig replied. “It's Dialga's strongest move!”

Cody slowly got up, feeling weak from the attack. He didn't know what to do now. He stepped back and heard his toolbox knock behind him. He looked at it and realized that he still had the necklace inside.

“I just need to get to a safe place,” Cody said to himself.

Dialga prepared to fire a silver beam, causing Cody to pick up the remaining Time Gear and rushed out of the way and avoided the strike. He hid behind one of the pillars and opened his Toolbox to take out his necklace and put it on.

“Here goes nothing,” Cody said.

He also took out an Oran Berry, a small, blue-colored berry, leaving him to eat it and become charged up. He focused his power as he prepared to go.

“POWER GO!!!!” Cody shouted.

He suddenly began surging with power, leaving him to feel far stronger than before. The ground was splitting beneath him. He popped out from the pillar and fired a Water Gun attack, which, to Dialga, felt like a shotgun to the face. Cody fired another blast as Dialga actually tried to defend himself. He fired another Flash Cannon that struck the Water Gun as the two tried to push each other back. The Flash Cannon proceeded to crush the Water Gun, but Cody hastily dodged with blinding speed. Even Cody was amazed at his newfound power.

“So this is what the necklace is capable of!” Cody said. “I'm like a super hero!”

He jumped high as he struck Diagla with a tackle, knocking him down. Turtwig and Cyndaquil were amazed at how much power he got from one crystal.

So much energy,” Primal Dialga thought. “This kid. Just what is he?

“I can take him!” Cody said.

“You think you're so great, huh? You honestly think you can win? I still have more energy than you!”

He prepared a Roar of Time once more and fired it at Cody. He fired a Water Gun that collided with the attack.

Impossible!” Primal Dialga thought.

Cody pushed as hard as he possibly can and managed to push the Roar of Time back, striking Primal Dialga and knocking him to the ground. Cody smiled at his success. He went over to place the remaining Time Gear in the slot, until...

“What's...happening?” Cody asked.

He suddenly felt weak. His bones feel like glass. He immediately fell to the ground in pain, screaming in agony.

“WHAT HAPPENED TO ME?!?!?” he cried in pain.

They didn't know what happened at all. Was it the necklace, or was it Primal Dialga? Cody immediately remembered a side effect that his father mentioned before, leaving him to believe that this was it.

“So much for your immense power,” Primal Dialga said. “That surge was nothing. I barely felt anything! I don't need to deal with you, but maybe your friends might be fun!”

Cody growled in anger in response to his idea.

“YOU LEAVE MY FRIENDS ALONE!!!” Cody shouted in anger.

He fired a Flash Cannon at them, causing both of them to fly away. Turtwig slowly got up, only to find another Flash Cannon striking him hard, sending him back and knocking him out cold.

“TURTWIG!!!!” Cody screamed in shock.

Cyndaquil didn't know what to do now. She was the only one able to fight, but she might not be able to do anything! It seemed all hope was lost.

“Nothing can stop me now,” Primal Dialga said. “NOTHING!!!!”

He laughed, while Cody struggled to get up, however his bones were weak, and he seemed to be fading fast. It seemed that nothing could be done to save this world.

No...I can't let this happen!

Primal Dialga prepared another beam to fire at Cody, preparing to finish him off for good.

They're my only hope! They have to win!

Primal Dialga smiled as he got ready to fire.

I have to hold on...long enough for me to get rid of him and let them save this world!

Primal Dialga suddenly stopped. He felt an immense amount of pain as he roared in response. They didn't know what was going on. Suddenly, Dialga came to light, still within a Primal state.

“Hurry!” Dialga said. “Do it!”

Cyndaquil nodded as she went over to Cody. She went near the lone Time Gear on the floor and picked it up. She turned to Cody and bowed.

“Sorry to steal your thunder, Cody,” Cyndaquil said. “But it's either this or suffer eternal darkness!”

She ran off with the Time Gear, while Dialga tried to control his possessed self. She jumped up and placed the remaining Time Gear in the slot. Suddenly, a strong rumble occurred as they all felt an odd surge come from the tower. Soon, a flash of light spreaded to the world, restoring time all over the Pokemon World. Everyone was feeling the effects, including Primal Dialga.

“It's done!” Dialga said.

He released his own energy within himself, wiping out Primal Dialga completely and freeing himself from his possession. The light faded, leaving the weak Cyndaquil to fall onto her back.

“It's over,” Cyndaquil said. “It's finally over!”

“Yeah,” Cody said. “We did it.”

Turtwig slowly woke up, happening to have heard the commotion and smiled as well. None of them could believe that after their days as newbies, from all the troubles to all of their adventures, that they'd end up saving everyone in the world!

“We did it,” Cyndaquil said. “I can't believe we pulled it off!”

Dialga shook himself as he felt refreshed and replenished of his sanity. He looked at the fallen Pokemon and wondered what to do with them. He used his time powers on them as their bodies began to warp. They felt refreshed, as if they never went into battle at all! The power stopped as they noticed their strength had regained.

“What happened?” Cody asked.

“I have used my time powers as a healing spell. With my power I can isolate time flow on one entity and control it at will. Even though you're going back in time while the world is staying still, it's as if you're healing. Right now, all three of you are at the level of which you all got here. Refreshed, ready to take on the world.”

“That's incredible!” Turtwig said. “Thank you!”

“No, thank you. Without you, the world would be a desolate wasteland. You have my gratitude.”

They all smiled as they bowed to him. They felt honored to have been thanked by a legendary creator of time. They bid their farewells as they head back to Lapras. Their badges didn't seem to work at all, so they had to backtrack back to Lapras.

“That was amazing,” Turtwig said. “Did you see Cody get that incredible power? It's like watching two Legendary Pokemon battle!”

“Yeah!” Cyndaquil said. “That WAS awesome!”

“Hey, you think they'll throw a party in our honor?”

“Of course, why wouldn't they?”

Cody felt glad that all of this ended. They prevented time from going out of control and everything seemed to be back to normal. Suddenly, Cody felt something odd within himself that he wasn't sure off.

Don't tell me it's that gem's effect again!” Cody thought.

Cody suddenly began to glow with a bright aura, leaving Turtwig and Cyndaquil to turn around and wonder what was wrong.

“Cody?” Cyndaquil asked.

“Are you okay?” Turtwig asked.

Cody had a terrible feeling about this. He suddenly remembered what Grovyle said about those who came from the future. He soon realized one awful fact: he was going to be erased from existence!
